Slitaz Aircrack-ng Distribution

The “Slitaz Aircrack-ng Distribution” is the base Slitaz cooking version plus the latest Aircrack-ng SVN version, wireless drivers patched for injection and other related tools. The custom distribution is especially tuned for the Acer Aspire One netbooks but will work well on virtually all desktops, notebooks and netbooks. It is extremely small (60meg), requires minimal memory and includes a rich set of programs. This distribution is not intended to be all things to all people. Especially with respect to patched wireless drivers. Only a limited set of patched wireless drivers are included. If you own a card which uses one of these patched drivers then you are in luck. These are for cards which are personally owned and are known to work well. There are no plans to expand this list. If your particular card is not included then use Back Track which includes an exceedingly large number of patched drivers. Having said that, the latest version now includes the 2.6.29 kernel with many new wir

Alfa AWUS036H & AWUS050NH / DRIVERS RTL8187, r8187, RT2800usb

Driver RTL8187/Stacks-mac80211 (for ALFA-AWUS036h) - These drivers are particularly suited for connections to the Internet, (more stable of r8187), and fully compatible with Network-Manager 0.7 installed by default on Ubuntu 9.04. - Supports all encryption without problems. (open, WEP and WPA/WPA2) - With Compact-Wireless, the "injection" and all "attack" of Aireplay-ng, are already supported without installing any "patch". Driver r8187/Stacks-ieee80211 (for ALFA-AWUS036h) - This driver is recommended for use with the Suite of Aircrack-ng, but not particularly suitable for Internet connections, as less stable and discontinuous at regular intervals. - The r8187 is compatible with Network-Manager 0.7, installed by default on Ubuntu 9.04, and supporting the encryption OPEN and WEP (no WPA/WPA2) - To establish links with WPA/WPA2 encryption, require a manual setup. - The "injection" and all "attacks" of Aireplay-ng, are supported aft

Alfa AWUS050NH 802.11n high powered wireless USB adapter version 2

Alfa Networks manufactures the most popular and longest range WiFi product on the market- the AWUS036H 500mW 802.11g wireless USB adapter. Back in March they launched the 802.11n version, the AWUS050NH, to very good reviews. There was some discussion thereafter that while the AWUS050NH worked extremely well with 802.11n routers, the performance with 802.11g routers could be a little better. In June, Alfa discontinued the model in favor of a version 2 of the same model number, to be shipped to distributors instead. The new version has hit some setbacks and is not set to be ready for release until sometime in July. If you are in the market for this model adapter, it is our understanding direct from Alfa that no retailers have the version 2 unit for sale right now. Alfa did ship a handful of test units to retailers (we did get some and all are gone). Some retailers still have a stock of the version 1 available. The version 1 works very well and is worth buying, but Alfa is touting improve
