ASUS a starnit cu siguranta invidia dar si curiozitatea atunci cand a lansat laptopul de 900 de grame - Eee PC. Se pare ca ASUS nu si-a luat-o in cap odata cu succesul inregistrat de prima versiune Eee PC si prgateste o noua generatie pe care vrea sa o prezinte la Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Cei de la ASUS nu au oferit prea multe informatii la ei pe site dar au spus urmatorul lucru: “Alatura-te ASUS, Intel si Sprint pentru a afla noutati despre tehnologia WiMAX, pentru a vedea viitorul tehnologiilor mobile (inclusiv noua generatie de Eee PC) si pentru a te introduce in lumea de maine a protocolului wireless.” Intel si Sprint investesc foarte mult in tehnologia WiMAX. Platforma de notebook “Mintevina” de la Intel va suporta WiMAX in a doua patrime din 2008 si platforma “Menlow UMPC” - probabil fundatia pentru noua generatie de Eee PC - va suporta de asemenea 3G si integrare WiMAX. Asus M930, announced more than a month ago to be a tough competitor for the Nokia E90 Communicator , will be commercially available at the beginning of 2008, for a price that is unknown yet. Several real photos of the handset recently appeared on the Internet, showing us that the handset is really capable of standing beside Nokia E90. Presented as Asus M930W, although on the front case there's only the "M930" name, the device is a tri-band GSM phone (900 / 1800 / 1900 Mhz) that supports EDGE, GPRS, 3G and HSDPA, thus allowing fast data transfers (up to 3.6 Mb per second). As all the latest Asus smartphones, the M930 has a powerful processor, a Marvel PXA27x 520 Mhz one, considerably more powerful than Nokia E90's processor, which only has 330 Mhz.
